December Video-Blog...Using Domestic vs. Imported Woods
Posted on December 13th, 2011

In this edition of our monthly blog, we talk and show you the difference in domestic vs. imported woods. Call us picky...and traditionalists...but we feel that you get what you pay for...and as the above video-blog illustrates, there IS A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE in buying cabinets using American lumber products and those made in China!

There are competitors out there who have carved out an entire niche using these "refacing" techniques...which utilize a slender shaving of wood on the face frames or surfaces of the original cabinetry...adhered to the original surface with glue and pressure. This is NOT what we suggest, nor recommend. (Unless you insist, of course). Because we are a small, boutique shop...we do have lower overhead and are willing to be very competitive...but keep in mind that you get what you pay for.
